Dr. Boyd-Mckoy graduated from the University of Phoenix in December 2009, receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She went on to attend the SUNY at Stony Brook where she received her Master’s Degree in Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in May 2012; receiving her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in May 2016.
Dr. Boyd-Mckoy was a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Areba Casriel Institute (ACI) in New York from October 2013 to February 2016, the Bright Point Health in Bronx, New York from March 2016 to August 2019, and the New York City Health and Hospital (Correctional Health Services) in Astoria, NY from March 2014 to present.
Dr. Boyd-Mckoy is an ANCC Board Certified Family Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN-BC). Dr. Boyd-Mckoy completed her Sub Oxone Waiver in May 2018. Her skills are diagnosing psychiatric illnesses, formulating treatment plans, prescribing medications, management of treatment and progress plans and basic psychotherapy.
