Dr. Serchuk received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Adelphi University in 1979. In 1982, he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Serchuk has been in private practice in Old Brookville since July 1987 and is licensed in both the State of New York and Connecticut. Since 2016, he has held a profession appointment as consultant for Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office in Forensic Odontology. In addition, he has professional appointments as Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team – Region II – Forensic Odontology Section Member, Consultant for Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office in Forensic Odontology, Council on Ethics Nassau County Dental Society, Medical Reserve Corp. Nassau County, Board of Directors Nassau County Dental Society, National Dental Image Repository Department of Justice/FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems Division, Dental Unit Leader Nassau County Medical Reserve Corporation and Consultant for Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office in Forensic Odontology.
From 2012 to 2017, Dr. Serchuk has lectured for Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBS), Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program in collaboration with the Suffolk County DA’s Office, the Suffolk County Police Department and partner hospitals: Good Samaritan Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center, and Stony Brook University Medical Center Titled “Bite Mark Photography.”
