Dr. McCabe achieved a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in psychology at Boston University. His desire to use cognitive theory and behavioral principles in order to help individuals with disabilities on an ongoing basis directed him toward a career in psychology. Dr. McCabe attained a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) degree at Queens College, and a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked at Camp ANCHOR for 24 years, and he has worked as a school psychologist since 2012. Dr. McCabe draws upon evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral strategies in order to help identify lagging skills and address unsolved problems, so as to guide individuals toward higher levels of emotional wellbeing, social satisfaction, and adaptive functioning.
