Licensed Psychologist
Start Date:
Dr. Landers began his career in the field of education, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Special Education from Boston University. Inspired by a strong desire to support individuals with learning differences, he became a special education teacher, where he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of individualized, skill-based interventions.
During this time, Dr. Landers also worked for many years at Camp ANCHOR, a program serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. This experience further fueled his interest in the emotional, behavioral, and cognitive aspects of learning and development, eventually leading him to pursue advanced training in psychology. You can still find him at the beach catching waves and bringing stoke to ANCHOR participants every summer.
He went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in School Psychology from Fordham University. Drawing upon evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral strategies, Dr. Landers focuses on identifying lagging skills, resolving unsolved problems, and helping individuals improve their emotional wellbeing, social relationships, and adaptive functioning. With a strengths-based and collaborative approach, he is committed to promoting meaningful, lasting growth in those he serves.
