National Health Center Week (NHCW) is an annual celebration that raises awareness about the mission and accomplishments of the nearly 1,400 local health centers in the United States. This year’s theme is “rooted in communities,” which highlights the long history of health care homes creating innovative solutions to pressing local health issues.

How to Celebrate NHCW with Advantage Care

From August 4 to August 10, 2019, Advantage Care Health Centers will recognize NHCW at both its Brookville and Freeport locations with a slate of special events. The week-long celebration of community care will include both fun and educational activities.

Tuesday, August 6 is Patient Appreciation Day at Advantage Care. Everyone who visits one of our two locations will have the chance to participate in raffles, photo opportunities and much, much more. As we celebrate the special relationships we have with our patients, we will be sharing health-related tips, tricks and tests.

Over the last half century, community health centers have become an integral part of our health care system. These medical facilities have developed a strong reputation for providing affordable, accessible, quality care to people who tend to have limited access to medical services.
